Our classic signature week, perfected over 25 years, with all Speyside’s special birds at their most active, including crossbill and Black Grouse - and time for great mammals too.
Spring is a fabulous time for wildlife in the Scottish Highlands - birds are singing and displaying, Slavonian Grebe and divers are in their finest plumage, Dotterel are back on the hills from mid-May and seabirds back on the nesting ledges. We'll see special mammals too on our days out in the glens, forests, mountains and coast. Minibus transport and generally easy walking with one longer walk in the mountains and a boat trip to Handa Island.
"Pine Marten in the wild. Red Squirrel carrying a kit in its mouth. Visit to Isle of Handa. So many bird species. Beautiful scenery. Great guide and fellow guests" Maggie Scott, 2022

Established in 1991, Speyside Wildlife has been offering wildlife watching experiences around the world for over 30 years. Our holidays are just that - holidays. We’ll try to squeeze in as many exciting activities as we can, but still give you completely relaxed enjoyment, so that you can ‘switch off’ for the week. We pride ourselves on our high level of personal attention, but we won’t race around in pursuit of big lists. Our guides’ enthusiasm is infectious and whether you are a beginner or more experienced, young or old, we are happy to take time so you can enjoy the wildlife on a Speyside Wildlife experience to the full.
